PT to go it alone, contest 150 Assembly seats

Puthiya Tamizhagam (PT) has decided to contest 150 seats on its own in the May 8 Assembly elections to the State, announced party founder-president K Krishnasamy.

Briefing the press here on Tuesday on the decisions taken at his party’s general body meeting, Krishnasamy accused both the major Dravidian parties, the DMK and the AIADMK, of merely cashing in on the Dalit votebank without giving the members of the community any political representation.
