State Government committed to artists' welfare, says Stalin

The State Government is committed to improving the quality of life of indigent and upcoming artists and has initiated welfare measures, Minister for Local Administration M.K. Stalin said here on Sunday.

It was the DMK Government during 1973 that changed the name of the then Sangeetha Sangam to Iyal Isai Nadaga Mandram, which had since then rigorously been promoting the cause of art and culture, he said while inaugurating the Silapadhikaram dance festival organised by the Mandram.(more...)
