Karunanidhi writes to Tandon

The Election Commission clarification that ongoing relief schemes could go on, would be interpreted by the AIADMK Government as "a green signal to implement all Government orders issued before March 1," DMK president M.Karunanidhi has said.

In a letter to Chief Election Commissioner B.B.Tandon, a copy of which was released to the Press, he said the AIADMK Government was "frantically relying on the doles they proposed to distribute to the people. Now your announcement would come in handy."(more...)
