MLA prays for success in exam, poll

Udumalpet sitting MLA and AIADMK candidate C Shanmugavelu (55), who is awaiting his M A (Economics) final year results, is praying that both his post-graduation course and 2006 Assembly election results be in his favour.

Soon after returning from Chennai on Wednesday, he visited local temples to offer prayers. Shanmugavelu garlanded the statues of former chief ministers C N Annadurai and M G Ramachandran at an “auspicious hour” on Wednesday.
