Villagers to boycott polls in Jayalalitha's home constituency

More than 1100 voters belonging to seven villages in Andipatti assembly constituency of Tamil Nadu, represented by none other than state Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha have decided to boycott the forthcoming assembly polls scheduled to be held on May 8.

Andipatti in the southern district of Theni has always been a stronghold of the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazgham (AIADMK) party since the days of M.G. Ramachandran , the party’s founder.(more...)
