PMK demands CMP in case of fractured verdict in TN Poll

Ruling out participation in a coalition ministry in case of a fractured verdict in the May 8 Tamil Nadu Assembly poll, the PMK, a constituent of the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance, today demanded a Common Minimum Programme for the State on the lines of that of the UPA.

"We will not participate in any coalition Government, but will offer unconditional support to the DMK, if the need arises, after the Assembly Poll. But we would like to have a CMP on the lines of the UPA's CMP and also a coordination committee to monitor the CMP", PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss told reporters after releasing the party's manifesto for the Polls.(more...)
